This page contains instructions for preparing and submitting your manuscript for the production phase of publication at Princeton University Press. These instructions were designed for projects written using Word or other word processing programs.
You will need to prepare your manuscript to meet the following requirements:
Manuscript Assembly Is Complete
Permissions Have Been Acquired
Need help with illustrations? Contact our illustration specialist, Dimitri Karetnikov (dimitri_karetnikov at press.princeton.edu).
You will need to submit the following materials:
hard copy printout of entire manuscript w/ illustrations & tables inserted
We need this to verify that we have complete, uncorrupted electronic files.

hard copy set of illustration captions
We need a printout for the copyeditor.
hard copy duplicate set of tables
We need a printout for the copyeditor.
electronic files for manuscript text on CD, DVD, or 3.5" floppy
disk
Separate files for text body, tables, and illustration captions.
electronic files for all digital illustrations on CD or DVD
These are your .eps or .tif files.
hard copy for other illustrations
Any photographs, transparencies, or slides.
hard copy duplicate set of illustrations
We need a set of printouts or photocopies for the book designer.
Permissions Documentation
copies of all permission documents
We absolutely need copies of any correspondence from rights-holders you have
contacted.
Please submit these forms in electronic format.
