In this four-session course, based on research from his recently published The Jewish World of Alexander Hamilton, historian Andrew Porwancher revolutionizes the understanding of an American icon and the role of Jews in founding America. Porwancher will draw from untapped archives in the Caribbean to explore Alexander Hamilton’s Jewish and identity as a young boy to better illuminate the upbringing of this enigmatic leader.
