This year’s Night of Ideas continues in the tradition of our annual A Night of Philosophy & Ideas. It is part of the U.S. Night of Ideas curated by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, and presented  in connection with the global 24-hour virtual La Nuit des idées, coordinated worldwide by the Institut Français.

Renata Salecl, a philosopher and sociologist, is professor at the School of Law at Birkbeck College, University of London and senior researcher at the Institute of Criminology at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Her books include A Passion for Ignorance, The Tyranny of Choice, and On Anxiety.
