Editor at Large (Higher Education)

In service of Princeton University Press’s mission to bring scholarly ideas to the world, the goal of our higher education publishing is to develop a program that enlivens the discussion around the institution of higher education while also strengthening it. Higher education is vitally important to the world of scholarly ideas as the engine that drives both the preservation and transmission of existing knowledge and the creation and communication of new knowledge. Accordingly, I seek to build a list that includes books that analyze and improve higher education, uniting research and teaching as symbiotic partners. Specifically, my concentration embraces scholarly titles on the economics, history, sociology, and philosophy of higher education; on the institutional foundations of higher education; and on innovative developments within higher education. I also look for books intended to improve the culture of higher education, including teaching, learning, research, leadership, and communications, and the skill sets of college and university professionals.
