Global Equity Grant Application

Princeton University Press’s mission is to inspire scholarly inquiry and impact throughout the world. In support of our mission, we commit to a publications program that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. Recognizing that achieving equity entails meaningful intervention, we have created Global Equity Grants. We invite authors of underrepresented groups to apply for these grants to support the preparation of works that are under contract (advance or final), in production, or published within the last 12 months. Categories of support include:
 

  • Parental/family care

  • Travel funds for research

  • Travel funds for conference or event attendance

  • Illustration or permissions expenses

  • Developmental editing

  • Translation

  • Developmental editing for English as additional language authors

  • Proposal or manuscript workshops 

  • Supplemental advertising or marketing to extend reach of a new publication

  • Media coaching

  • Funds to support a research assistant

   

Grants range from $500 to $4000. All authors who are under contract are eligible, one grant per book. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis and responses can be expected within six weeks of receipt.
