Wadad Kadi is the Avalon Foundation Distinguished Service Professor of Islamic Thought (Emerita) at the University of Chicago. Devin J. Stewart is associate professor of Arabic and Islamic studies at Emory University. Muhammad Qasim Zaman is the Robert H. Niehaus '77 Professor of Near Eastern Studies and Religion at Princeton University. Mahan Mirza is vice president for academic affairs at Zaytuna College.
