Virtual Event: Ross Piper at Science on TapWhat Insects Do, and Why

Insect lives are much more complex than most of us can imagine. From elegant displays of courtship to brutal acts of predation, the behaviors of insects are often invisible or incomprehensible to humans.

At this event we will hear from Ross Piper, author of What Insects Do, and Why. He will take us on an unforgettable tour of the insect world, presenting these amazing creatures as you have never seen them before. Come learn about topics such as insect evolution, reproduction and life cycles, feeding strategies, defenses, sociality, parasite-host interactions, human impacts on insects, and more. Join us for a discussion of the marvelous diversity of insects all around us around the world as well as in your own backyard.
