Staff wellness weeks and autumn plans for our global offices

This has been a year of extraordinary new endeavors and collaborations, as well as unprecedented new challenges. The risk of burnout is high and so are the August temperatures. Looking ahead to seasonal change, and with it a shift to hybrid work, the Princeton University Press teams are taking a week for renewal and wellness.

Press offices in the US and UK will be closed from August 30 – September 6, and the office in China will be closed the week of September 26, so that staff have a chance to unplug and reinvigorate. Beginning September 20, the US and UK offices, which have operated with limited onsite capacity since this spring, plan to increase capacity for in person collaborations. All offices will operate indefinitely on a hybrid model that supports staff choosing to work from home, work from the office, or undertake a combination of both. In the interest of community health and safety, a vaccination requirement is in place for onsite staff and visitors, and travel continues to be limited.

We look forward and onward to new adventures and experiments ahead. But first, a little rest, and much gratitude.
