I publish titles across the fields of physics, astronomy, and the Earth sciences with Ingrid Gnerlich. Princeton’s lists in the physical and Earth sciences connect the work of leading scholars with varied readerships—from researchers working at the frontiers of knowledge, to instructors teaching and mentoring the next generation of scientists, to the students comprising that generation, as well as to the broader public. We seek books that inform the practice and shape the profile of disciplines, including innovative texts that influence teaching and research; exceptional monographs that synthesize scholarship and help set agendas at the cutting edge; and accessible works of popular science that educate and inspire a broad audience of lay readers. We are interested in great syntheses, books focused on recent discoveries and advances, as well as works that cross disciplinary boundaries to tackle subjects in fresh ways and inspire exciting collaborations and conversations.
