In politics, I publish broadly across international relations, comparative and American politics, public policy, and political economy. In American history, I champion work that sheds new light on the evolution of economic, political, and social systems in the United States, and on how the United States has shaped and been shaped by international forces. I welcome both scholarly and trade books. I am drawn to projects that use diverse, original sources and approaches (be they qualitative or quantitative) to communicate central insights about our world, and I seek authors who convey their arguments powerfully and clearly, who tackle ambitious questions, and who value collaboration in getting important ideas into the public conversation. As part of the Press’s larger commitment to embrace the highest standards of scholarship, inclusivity, and diversity, I am eager to highlight voices and topics that have been historically underrecognized in the academy and in our own publishing.
